bodybuilding competition preparation – training day
It was the worst preparation season of his career. It coincided with opening PowerPit and Impuls Fitness gyms in Gdańsk, where he helped hire trainers and organize. He lived in Kowale, and the gym was in Wrzeszcz – in traffic jams, the commute took 1.5 hours. He got up at 4:40 AM, started training before 6:00 AM, then an hour of personal training, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM work, then two personal training sessions, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM his own strength training with second cardio, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM personal training again, at 10:30 PM he left work, at home he made food for the next day and went to sleep at 11:45 PM. He repeated this for 12 weeks, 7 days a week. He says that if it weren't for his wife, he wouldn't have competed or achieved half of what he has.
Karmowski admits that such a regime was possible only thanks to doping agents, which accelerated recovery and allowed functioning on minimal sleep. Without doping, the body wouldn't be able to regenerate.
Karmowski: 'It was the worst period I remember, because it was the most demanding for me. I was a wreck of a man then. But the form was phenomenal.'
I got up at 4:40 AM every morning. Before 6:00 AM I started my training, before 7:00 AM I finished it – that was cardio training. Then I did one hour of personal training. Later, from 8:00 AM I started my work until 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM I did two personal training sessions until 6:00 PM. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM I did my strength training. From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM I went to personal training sessions again. At 10:30 PM I left work. I came home, made food, and at 11:45 PM I went to sleep. 12 weeks, day in, day out the same.
