Weekly 36-hour fast with trainer Kosta
The fasting protocol emerged from Kosta's influence. Every Saturday at 20:00 they stop eating, drinking only water. No coffee during the fast. By Sunday morning (8:00) they break it. Szpilka reports extreme productivity and absence of post-meal drowsiness. In the evening he gets very hungry and watches food videos; this is part of the ritual. He emphasizes that a single 36-hour fast does not cause weight loss; any lost weight returns quickly. They experimented with longer fasts but settled on this weekly rhythm. Initially they made the mistake of overeating at the break and felt sick; now they reintroduce food modestly. Szpilka plans to resume after stopping for antibiotics.
Szpilka describes the liver as a 'motor' that needs a break from constant work. By abstaining from all solid food, the digestive system rests, leading to a feeling of cleanliness and high energy. He also mentions autophagy benefits loosely as 'cleansing'.
Szpilka: 'I felt phenomenal, no drowsiness, tons of energy, I was so productive. In the evening I'd watch best burgers in Warsaw videos, send photos to my friends, but it was a healthy game.' He and Kosta tried to see who could last longer and now treat it as a non-negotiable reset. His fiancée often tempts him with pizza in bed, but he resists.
It was a total reset, we drank only water, we also didn't drink coffee then, and so I had so much energy, I was so productive, I didn't get tired, there's no such thing as when you eat normally, there's no such thing as drowsiness, you're just constantly on.
