Morning smoothie (the ‘everything’ shake)
Saladino describes this smoothie as the core of his morning routine. He throws in ‘glyphosate free honey, creatine monohydrate probably 10 grams, beet pollen, maybe a little bit of royal jelly, raw milk, maybe some raw meats, some hardened soil, desiccated organs, especially desiccated testicle … maybe some acerola for the vitamin C and then maybe some frozen organic blueberries.’ He notes he sometimes adds heart & soil organ blends. This is not a measured recipe; it’s a habit that evolves. He finds it simplifies his morning while packing in many of the supplements and whole foods he would otherwise take separately.
Bee pollen and royal jelly have been shown in some studies to support testosterone and hormone balance. Creatine monohydrate supports ATP regeneration, muscle, bone, and brain function. Organ supplements supply fat-soluble vitamins and unique peptides. The combination aims to cover micronutrient gaps in an animal-based diet while providing energy for the morning.
Saladino has been doing this smoothie consistently for an extended period and credits it with helping him maintain energy and body composition. Thomas DeLauer comments that bee pollen gives him ‘crazy energy that’s not related to calories.’
So, like I said, I start the morning with like the smoothie. And the smoothie is glyphosate free honey, creatine monohydrate, probably 10 grams in the smoothie to start, beet pollen, maybe a little bit of royal jelly, raw milk, maybe some raw meats, some hardened soil, desiccated organs, especially desiccated testicle.
