Radical Information Hygiene
Pogoda argues that constant exposure to news and algorithmically-fed content is a form of mind control. He shares that he never listens to the radio in his car, and his only exposure to mainstream media is on hotel breakfast TV screens. He advocates for choosing specific podcasts, audiobooks, or music you have selected, and spending time in silence to think. He contrasts this with the behavior of most people who wake up to the radio, listen to it at work, and come home to the TV, effectively having their entire worldview programmed for them. He asks viewers to reflect on whether they spent their holidays with the TV on, passively absorbing 'diluted shit for the brain'.
Pogoda shares that he drove 160,000 km in his car without ever listening to the radio, having removed the antenna. He only listens to content he has actively chosen.
